Meet Laura

Laura Mae Pfeffer is the owner and lead designer of Salt Flower. She's designed weddings and events across New York City and New England for eight years, and she opened the shop because she wanted to design flowers and connect with people all year, not just at the big events.

She built Salt Flower around the kind of neighborhood shop she loved in the cities she's lived in: the one that has special items you can't find everywhere. She wanted every purchase to feel like a little gift, even when you're buying it for yourself. She spent a long time curating the items for the shop, to give people a high-end feel without the high-end price.

Next, she's growing the shop into a place for events with local artists and makers, not just flower arranging workshops. She's hoping to host classes on making your own skincare or perfume oil, watercolor, pressing flowers, and herbal and floral tinctures.
